Where and how do we get the best price? 01

Book directly with us. You get the best price when you book via our website. Generally, the earlier you book and the longer you stay, the better the price.

What does 'direct booking advantage' mean? 02

When booking via our homepage, telephone or email you review a 5% direct booker discount and a welcome gift.

Why is the same room sometimes more/less? 03

Our prices and availability depend on the date of your booking, general demand, and the occupancy of the hotel during your desired dates.

Is it possible to request a specific room? 04

Yes, but we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate. We’ll certainly do our best.

Can we bring our dog? 05

100%. CHF 15 is charged per day. We’re happy to provide food and water bowls, and a dog basket in your room.

Can I add a birthday/romantic surprise? 06

Yes - just let us know. We can prepare a small surprise in your room for no extra charge.

What services are included in the price? 07

Full use of the spa and fitness facilities, including free yoga. Daily breakfast. Coffee and tea corner in the afternoon from 3-6pm. And VAT.

Can I book without a credit card? 08

No. A credit card number is mandatory, with a prepayment of your total stay taken in line with our cancellation policy.

Should I take out travel insurance? 09

Yes - it is strongly recommended. Free-of-charge cancellations outside of the cancellation period are no longer possible.

ARRIVAL / CHECK-IN

What time is check-in? 01

We guarantee check-in from 3pm. If your room is ready earlier, you can of course check in earlier. In any case, you can leave luggage with us and make use of our changing rooms.

How do you travel to car-free Zermatt? 02

The train goes directly to Zermatt (which is a car-free zone). If travelling by car, the journey ends in Täsch which is 5km from Zermatt. You then continue by shuttle train or taxi to the resort at the foot of the Matterhorn. Head here for more info: www.zermatt.ch/en/arrival.

Where can I park? Do I need to reserve? 03

The Matterhorn Terminal in Täsch offers 2,100 covered parking spaces. There are also over 1,000 parking spaces with private providers such as taxi companies and hotels. I’m arriving late. Will the hotel be open? 04

Yes. Our front desk is open from 6am to 11pm. After 11pm, our night manager will welcome you.

Do you offer a pick-up service? 05

SCHLOSS Zermatt is 50 metres from Zermatt’s train station. You can walk to it in 2 minutes or, upon request, we can pick you and your luggage up, for free, from the station or taxi drop-off with our electric car.

Which airport is the closest to Zermatt? 06

Geneva and Zürich are the closest airports, about 3.5 hours away. Milan Malpensa is also about 3 hours away, but onward travel is only possible by car or taxi as there is no suitable train connection.

Is it possible to have a late check-out? 02

Assuming your room is not booked by anyone else, we can organise a late check-out for 1pm at no extra charge. Just speak to our front desk.

Can I use the spa on my day of departure? 03

Absolutely. And at no extra charge.

Where exactly is the hotel located? 01

SCHLOSS Zermatt has a prime location just off the village centre. You can reach all the best spots quickly and easily, either by foot or electric car. For example:

1 minute to the next bus stop (direction Matterhorn Glacier Paradise)
2 minutes to the railway station
2 minutes to the Gornergrat station
5 minutes to the nearest bike and ski rental stores
7 minutes to the Sunnegga-Rothorn station
2-15 minutes to Zermatt’s various shops and restaurants

Can I drink the tap water? 02

100%. Zermatt's tap water consists of 100% pure spring water.

How big is SCHLOSS Zermatt? 03

SCHLOSS Zermatt has 56 rooms, suites and apartments across three buildings: the main house, an extension built in 2020, and a cottage just a minute walk from the hotel.

Where is the Cottage located? 04

Converted from former hay barns in 2019/20, the Cottage is a minute walk from the main building. Ideal for a family, group of friends or colleagues, you get full access to the hotel’s services and facilities as well as a bunch of extras like a mini-cinema and private sauna.

As you're close to town, are rooms quiet? 05

Yes. Despite its central location, SCHLOSS Zermatt is not affected by traffic-related noise as rooms are tucked away and have triple-glazed sound-proofed windows. Even the nearby Gornergrat railway is not usually heard.

Which rooms have a view of the Matterhorn? 06

Each room, suite or apartment with ‘View’ in its name offers a guaranteed view of the Matterhorn.

Is there air conditioning in the rooms? 07

Thanks to the fresh mountain climate, there’s no need! That said, of course we do have heating in the rooms.

Are the apartments also in the main building? 08

Yes - apartments are in the main house.

Are extra beds or baby cots provided? 09

Cots are available in all rooms, and sofa-beds can be added in most (check a room/suite’s page for more specifics). The below charges include our free and fresh breakfast every morning:

Up to 8.99 years = free of charge
9-15.99 years = CHF 70 per child per day
16+ years = CHF 100 per person per day

Are smoking rooms available? 10

No - all rooms are non-smoking. However, ashtrays are available on a room/suite’s balcony.

Are there vegan alternatives for breakfast? 01

You bet - we have a whole range of vegan goods.

Do you cater to food allergies/intollerances? 02

Yes of course, just let us know in advance so we can provide alternatives to gluten, lactose and more.

When does breakfast start and finish? 03

Breakfast is served from 7am until 11am. You can also order breakfast to your room.

Do you serve lunch or dinner at the hotel? 04

No, we only offer breakfast. We do have light snacks at the bar in the afternoon and evening, and a tea, coffee and cake corner, but there is no full food menu.

Spa & Fitness

What are the opening hours for facilities? 01

Pool = 6am to 11pm
Spa = 12 noon to 9pm
Fitness zone = 6am to 11pm

Can I cancel a treatment/class/workshop? 02

If you cancel more than 24 hours before the event then you won’t be charged. If you cancel within 24 hours of the event then you will be charged for the full amount.

Can I use facilities as an external guest? 03

Yes. If you want to use the fitness facilities then a day’s admission is CHF 35. Separately, if you book a treatment (with a minimum spend of CHF 120) then you can use our CBD Spa for an additional CHF 20. This includes a bathrobe, towels, slippers and refreshments.

Are bathrobes, slippers and towels free? 04

Yes. You’ll find bathrobes, slippers and towels down at the Spa.

Is there a nude zone? 05

Yes. The entire sauna and steam bath area is a no-clothes zone. Haman towels are available to wrap yourself in.

Are mobile phones allowed? 06

No. We kindly ask that you leave your phone in your room or in the changing rooms so you can completely switch off and zone into your time out.

Can kids use spa and/or fitness facilities? 07

Pool = children of any age are welcome when accompanied by parents.
Spa and fitness = children are welcome from the age of 16.

Are fitness classes like yoga free? 08
